Women Leaders In ISOPREP: Meet Nuray Kizildag

Tue, 01 March, 2022

Nuray has been a researcher in the ISOPREP project since the beginning of the project, assisting Sabanci University IMC - Integrated Manufacturing Technologies Research and Application Center in its research and development efforts, providing a novel approach for the solvent-based recycling of polypropylene from waste carpet. “When I first heard about the project, I was very impressed, and I was even more impressed when I learned that it might be possible to obtain virgin-like polypropylene from dirty waste carpet that would otherwise end up in a landfill. Doing something good for the environment and contributing to a greener, healthier environment makes me feel good and motivates me to keep going. I consider myself fortunate to be a part of this project and to have the opportunity to work with wonderful people while also helping our planet”.
